Welcome, Raiders!
Whether Riverwood is already familiar territory or you are joining the Raider community for the first time, we are excited to welcome you to a new school year. Riverwood is more than a campus. It is a community shaped by talented teachers, dedicated staff, remarkable students, and families who care deeply about making the school experience the best it can be. As Co-Presidents of the Riverwood Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA), we are proud to work alongside this community, and we hope you will find a way to be part of it, too. The PTSA connects families, supports students and staff, strengthens communication, celebrates our school, and helps turn good ideas into meaningful action. There is no single way to get involved. Whether you have five minutes, a few hours, a helpful connection, a creative idea, or simply want to stay informed, there is a place for you. We invite you to explore our website to learn more about the PTSA, the programs and events we support, and the many ways you can connect with Riverwood throughout the year. Here are a few great places to begin:
Become a PTSA member.
Membership is one of the easiest and most impactful ways to support Riverwood. There are no meetings to attend, volunteer hours to complete, or experience required. Members receive our monthly newsletter, featuring important dates, school and PTSA updates, upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and a look at how membership dollars support the Riverwood community. JOIN NOW and see if your employer will match your donation HERE.
Show up when and where you can.
Join us for PTSA events, volunteer opportunities, and General Membership Meetings throughout the year. Our meetings are a place to hear what is happening at Riverwood, exchange ideas, ask questions, and help shape the conversations that matter to our school community. Stay connected by following us on Instagram and Facebook for the latest news, events, and opportunities to participate.
Make a financial contribution.
Every contribution makes a difference. PTSA funding helps us support programs, events, resources, and experiences that benefit Riverwood students and staff. No gift is too small, and every dollar is put to work within our school community. If your business is interested in becoming a corporate sponsor or PTSA partner, additional information can be found HERE.
Most importantly, know that you do not have to be a PTSA “regular” to belong. Come to one event. Volunteer once. Share an idea. Read the newsletter. Ask a question. Every connection strengthens our Raider community.
Our PTSA Executive Committee is always available to answer questions about Riverwood, share information about our work, or help you find a way to get involved that fits your interests and schedule. Reach us anytime at PTSARiverwood@gmail.com.
Here’s to a year of connection, collaboration, Raider pride - and plenty of reasons to celebrate our students, teachers, and staff.
Welcome to Riverwood. We’re glad you’re here!
